Mission

The Long Island Pride Invitational has a mission to bring together the LGBTQ+ community and allies through the sport of bowling.  We create an inclusive and fun-filled environment where everyone feels welcome, celebrated, and free to be themselves.​

Through friendly competition and camaraderie, we aim to break down barriers and promote unity, acceptance, and empowerment for LGBTQ+ individuals.  We believe in the power of sport to foster connections and raise awareness about LGBTQ+ issues.

We prioritize fairness, respect, and diversity in everything we do, ensuring that bowlers of all skill levels and backgrounds can participate and have a great time.  Additionally, we're proud to partner with local charities to extend our impact and support the LGBTQ+ community beyond the tournament.

Registration

Registration for the tournament will open in January 2024. Visit our registration page to sign up. Please note that registration is limited, so we encourage early sign-ups to secure your spot. Registration will not be considered complete until full payment is received.

Tournament Format

The tournament will feature both individual and team events. Participants will be competing in singles, doubles, and team events. More information regarding format, scoring, and lane assignments will be provided to registered participants closer to the event.

Categories

The tournament will include various categories based on skill levels, ensuring fair competition for all participants. Categories may include Amateur, Intermediate, Advanced, and Elite divisions. Participants will have the opportunity to select the appropriate category during the registration process.

Schedule

The Long Island Pride Invitational will span three days, from April 12th to April 14th, 2024. The schedule will include:  registration party, single and doubles events, culminating in the team event and awards banquet. A detailed schedule with specific event timings will be published on our website closer to the tournament date.

Prizes and Awards

Participants will have the chance to win exciting prizes in each category. Prizes may include cash rewards, trophies, and other special recognitions. Details about the prize structure and awards will be provided in the official tournament rules, which will be available to registered participants.

Spectators

Spectators are encouraged to attend and support their friends, family, and favorite bowlers. Join us to experience the electric atmosphere, witness thrilling matches, and show your support for the LGBTQ+ community. Admission for spectators will be free.

Accessibility

We are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible event for all participants. The tournament venue will be wheelchair accessible, and accommodations will be made available for individuals with disabilities upon request. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact our event organizers in advance.

Volunteering

If you would like to be part of the Long Island Pride Invitational as a volunteer, we would love to have you on board! Volunteer opportunities may include assisting with registration, scorekeeping, lane management, or event coordination. To get in on the action, please reach out to our volunteer coordinator and we will include you in on the fun.
